'First In Line' New Import CD: MxF Records announces 'First In Line' featuring both the shows performed by Elvis in Las Vegas NV, Hilton Hotel on February 1st 1974 DS & MS. Both the previously unreleased shows are taken directly from AUDIENCE RECORDINGS.
After the deserved rest of 5 months, Elvis is back in Las Vegas Hilton. A new contract has been signed by Elvis, he wants to perform twice a year, but only two weeks at a time rather than the previous four. Starting from January 12th Elvis starts the rehearsal of his 10th Las Vegas Season, on Saturday 26th He opened the season dressed in a white jumpsuit in good spirit and in good shape too. The repertoire was reduced compared to the previous season to 15/20 songs with three new additions: Help me, Spanish Eyes and the popular Let Me Be There. The choice of songs in the different shows varied little, in particular in the two shows here presented the only variation is the song The First Time Ever I Saw your face that replaces the now classic Let Me Be There in the Midnight Show.
Speaking about the two unreleased shows, they are very similar, the track list is minimized and the shows are practically identical, but we are talking about of two concerts of very good quality and well performed with the audience very pleased by the shows. Elvis is bringing back the rocker Polk Salad Annie and his performing of the classic Trying To get To You never sounded better, searching the best song is very hard because all the songs are very well performed, but for sure Elvis' joy while performing the popular Let Me Be There is undeniable, often singing also the reprise.
The sound is very good for ambient recordings, we have on our hands the original mono tapes of extremely good quality enabling us to carry out a simple re-mastering work, concentrating on the reduction of noise, hiss, and clicks, but we always give priority to the integrity of the original recording, trying to achieve a clearer sound in spite of the background noise. The result is a pretty dynamic tape with a great definition of the background music and you definitely can live the atmosphere of an Elvis' concert in the seventies.
This new SR special Product will be housed in a deluxe LONG DIGIPACK, containing 8 pages of a foldout booklet that in one side opening gives life to a great poster, while the backside is full of backstage photos of the season with classic memorabilia and newspaper clippings plus a high glossy paper bonus art card of 25x13 cm of size.
To have a special collector's item, the 400 copies will be presented with four different sleeve VARIATIONS. The variations will also be extended to the internal poster and to the coloring of the digipack spine. All the copies will come hand numbered and individually sealed and please remember!!
NOTE: Some collectors have complained to EIN about the quality of MxF audience releases before - Please CHECK SAMPLES before buying.

MRS 'Made In Germany' Deluxe set: The final details have been announced for MRS' new special celebration of Elvis' home recordings in Germany.
MRS will release the 4CD/152-page book entitled ‘Elvis - Made In Germany – The Complete Private Recordings’ on 8 March 2019.
The CD set contains more than 3 hours of all the private recordings Elvis made while off duty in Germany when he was serving as a soldier in the US army during the 1958 -1960 period and, includes rare tracks from a recently discovered tape comprising over an hour of unheard personal recordings.
Although the original tapes were damaged with noise, hiss and distortion, for the first time ever, all of Elvis’ recordings made in Germany, have now all been painstakingly cleaned, repaired, and restored, using the most sophisticated technology. This means that, finally, these truly historical recordings now provide for a complete and enjoyable listening experience.
Over the coming weeks, prior to the release date, MRS will be releasing previews of our high restoration techniques through the various collectors forums and channels, providing audio comparisons with all the previous poorly

mastered versions - including those included on the recent FTD release which we acknowledge contains some of the tracks also contained in this set.

The 152-page hardback book contains rare unpublished photographs and documents, complemented by a comprehensive text provided by Gordon Minto, which discusses each of Elvis’ RCA studio (non-film) recording sessions held during 1957-58, before focusing on the private recordings he made in Germany.
The BONUS CD included features the essential RCA studio masters from the 1957-’58 period (also lovingly restored and remastered by MRS) and includes - together for the first time - studio banter AS WELL AS the count-ins on ‘All Shook Up’, ‘Don’t Leave Me Now’ and ‘White Christmas’.
The ELVIS Made in Germany CD set is available for preorder from your local Elvis dealer now.

'Virginia Is For Elvis Lovers' New Import CD: Now the story gets very interesting. 'Virginia Is For Elvis Lovers' is the new release from the Black Diamond label - it features Elvis' stunning Richmond show from April 10, 1972. This is the same show that is coming out soon on the VICTROLA label but according to Black Diamond  they have a far superior sound quality.
New label BLACK DIAMOND kicks off with it´s first release of a show originally recorded for the 1972 movie "ON TOUR“. This show has been taken from a digital copy of a rough stereo mix made from the original multitrack tapes some years ago.
The sound on this CD has been professionally remastered to achieve optimum audio quality.
We are aware that this show will also be released by the VICTROLA label (see news below) ... BUT.. after listening to their previous release of the Greensboro show, we think that the remastering has not been done properly. It simply was a digital overkill with way too much compression, muffled sound and a lack of separation. You can expect the same digital overkill on their forthcoming Richmond release! Our competitors even swapped the stereo channels which means that the piano comes out of the right speaker.... Which is completely wrong !
Please note that Black DIAMOND remastered this show from a digital copy of the very same source tape that our competitors used for their release. We are sure the difference is amazing.

On BLACK DIAMOND the sound is crisp and clear with all instruments clearly audible. And Elvis´ voice sounds much more natural than on the other label. They achieved a some kind of artificial sound. Not very enjoyable...
So if you want to add this show to your collection in the best quality ever then BLACK DIAMOND should be your choice. You won´t be disappointed!
CHECK with your Elvis Dealers for audio sample comparisons between the sound on Victrola and Black Diamond. Or please judge for yourself with a S Minds sample here
EIN Notes - WOW, and we were happy with the recent AMIGA upgraded version!

'Elvis - April 10 1972, Richmond' New Import CD: The Victrola label announces Elvis’ powerhouse concert in Richmond Coliseum on April 10th 1972. A fantastic double CD album taken from the original 8 and 16 track master tapes!
The April 10, 1972 Richmond, VA concert was released several times by various labels. Only two releases stands out: original 1995 Vicky label CD ‘Carry Me Back To Old Virginia’ - first ever release of this show in mono and 2008 Madison label CD ‘Red Hot In Richmond’ - first release in original 1972 narrow stereo (complete).
EIN Notes: The wonderfully upgraded audio of the recent Richmond ’72 AMIGA release is for some reason missed out here!
Richmond concert was never available in professionally remixed quality - until now! For the first time, these are actual multi-track master recordings that have been used as a source for this show.
Critics, predictably, will point out that this can’t be true because ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ is still incomplete and therefore Victorola can’t be having an original recording and mix of this show.

Well, in fact we do have that. We also have the original ‘On Tour’ paperwork from the vaults.
The previous ‘Greensboro, April 14, ‘72’ was good but it still wasn’t Master-tape quality.
Upon reading this paperwork it becomes clear that the ‘On Tour’ shows were recorded in both 16-track and 8-track. The reason behind recording it on both 16- and 8-track is probably due to the fact that it was a) not a regular concert recording but also the recording of a soundtrack for a movie and b) the 8-track could also be meant as a safety back-up, just in case something went wrong with the 16-track recording.
The official paperwork also reveals that almost half of the Richmond show is in the Sony vaults on 16-track tapes, the other half is on 8-track tapes. It makes one wonder if some of the original 16-track tapes are missing or are in the hands of collectors or are perhaps stored in the MGM vaults? The paperwork also proves that ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ was not (!) recorded other than only a very small snippet of the beginning of the song. ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ from the Richmond show is listed in the official paperwork as being ‘Film Company Number: 51’. The paperwork then reads:‘One (1) 8 track copy of original recording (overlaps and songs missing)’. Then there are handwritten notes, also from the vaults, of someone writing down about what is on the ‘On Tour’ tapes. The writer notes about ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ of the Richmond show: ‘brief’. In other words: short / incomplete. So there you have it: some of the ‘On Tour’ recordings in the Sony vaults are incomplete and ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’ was not recorded in full and therefore missing from the tape.
Obviously the ‘main course’ of our release is the spectacular sounding Richmond concert on disc one, with the incomplete ‘Lawdy Miss Clawdy’, but fortunately only the start of the song is missing.
We have added second disc with ‘an overview’ of ‘Elvis On Tour’, featuring songs recorded during the March 1972 studio rehearsal sessions in Hollywood, CA and live songs from April 9, 1972 Hampton Roads, VA evening show and April 18, 1972 San Antonio, TX in glorious stereo. We have included two great monaural tracks from the April 5th 1972, Buffalo rehearsal, too.
This disc starts with the (little bit naughty) March 30, 1972 take 2 rehearsal of ‘Burning Love’. This time in better sound then before. We all know that when Elvis starts changing lyrics and laughing, he is in a great mood. Through several interesting rehearsals we come to a collection of songs from above mentioned shows recorded for ‘On Tour’. All these tracks are taken from the original tapes and latest, unreleased, mixes from the vaults. Your special attention is requested for the great sound on the recordings of San Antonio, TX, April 18, 1972!
As a very pleasant and special feature, we have added 8 tracks recorded during Elvis concerts in Madison Square Garden on June 10, 1972. All these recordings come in a different mix, prepared back in 1972 by RCA in Japan. This mix is very rare and hardly ever heard. It features some instruments much more prominent in the mix such as the organ and Glen D. Hardin on piano and some errors (feedbacks) which were later repaired in studio. The sound is fantastic and we feel that the recording of ‘The Impossible Dream’ shines more than ever before.
We sincerely hope you will enjoy this second Victrola release, featuring material from ‘Elvis On Tour’ and recognize the fact that we are bringing you this material in the best quality possible.

Elvis SUN 45rpm VINYL replicas: News that Elvis' five SUN 45rpm VINYL singles as quality replicas are being released for Christmas.
Publicity notes that,,, Strictly low number of 250 sets have been produced of Elvis’ Sun 45rpm 7” (inch) replica singles.
With the same of last year’s release of the 10” (78rpm) version (see EIN review here) each of the 5 Sun 45rpm replicas have the original etched numbers included with the appropriate song sides and is by far the most original Sun replicas made to date.
Not only are all the labels perfect (as the original in size, color and accuracy), the sound quality is excellent with the original Sun sound (including That’s All Right) pressed on heavy stock vinyl.
The singles come in the same type brown paper sleeves as sold with the original releases.
This is a strictly low limited number of only 250 sets being released and is available from next week.

'What Now My Love' FTD in-depth Review: The most recent live soundboard FTD 5” double-digipack release, this set features Elvis in great form from his legendary Vegas shows in August 1972 at the Hilton Hotel, Las Vegas.
'What Now My Love' consists of the Midnight Shows on August 11 and 12 1972 . Between Madison Square Garden and Aloha From Hawaii, the Elvis Presley Show was at its peak!
Elvis is in top form with both new and old songs in his repertoire, and especially with the addition of 3 great new songs, “What Now My Love,” “Fever” and “My Way.” In an effort to find the right style for each arrangement, Elvis totally commits himself to each performance.
Both concerts have previously been out on bootleg so do Elvis collectors really need to purchase them all over again - (YES!)
Go here as Elvis soundboard super-collector Geoffrey McDonnell & EIN's Piers Beagley check out the details of this new FTD double-pack .....

'Bumps Are Gone But He's Still King!' New Import CD: Wow this is one weird title as Elvis certainly was "bumpy" in 1976.
Nevertheless 'Bumps Are Gone But He's Still King!' is the new CD from the E. P. Collector label.
The Hartford, July 28th, 1976 show is previously unreleased in complete AUDIENCE recorded form. Audionics label released parts of this show taken from soundboard source (CD "Across The Country," 2005). Unfortunately, complete soundboard recording of this concert do not exist. The E. P. Collector label had complete audience tape of very good sound quality in vaults for many, many years and finally decided to release it. July 28th, 1976 is longest and perhaps the best show from this particular tour. Among the concert highlights there are fantastic performances of ,,Jailhouse Rock“, „America“, „Polk Salad Annie“ and „Hurt“. There is one special moment too, when Elvis sing „Happy Birthday“, to Kitty Kahane, daughter of Elvis friend, comedian Jackie Kahane.
This show was restored with a great care with a focus on not changing the integrity of the original monaural recording. You may ask your supplier for samples.
This CD is packaged in a nicely designed digipak with concert review and collection of images taken during Hartford concert on July 28, 1976.

'Wonderful Winter Wonderland' New Import: This Christmas spliced take CMT special is another winner in the great series and needs no further introduction.
One thing we do want to mention is the newly created "harmony" version of "The Wonderful World of Christmas", although there are no outtakes available the CMT team managed to make a very different sounding track, where even the vocal ending is far different then the master take!
Also just listen to the newly overdubbed version of  "Merry Christmas Baby" which has been re-created from THREE different overdub versions.
All the other tracks are spliced very well, with longer intro's and great edits!

'King Of The Whole Wide World - The Kid Galahad Sessions' Import Box-set: EIN Notes- With nearly nothing left in the vaults bootleggers are finding it hard to make a buck with more and more of these "compiled from previous bootlegs and official releases" sets being released.
Of course if you missed them on bootleg first time around these may be exactly what you are looking for. Otherwise they appear to offer nothing that we don't have already.
All these tracks have been out before on releases such as "The Kid Galahad Sessions" and the publicity suggesting "The Mono Sessions" are presented in the Best Audio Quality implies that they have been copied off the VENUS bootleg mono set.

The publicity notes.,..  A sublime 4 CD boxset with the most complete KID GALAHAD recording sessions ever presented, incl. many tracks unreleased by Elvis' official record company. This stunning box also includes the complete film versions and original mono masters as well as the stereo masters! The mono sessions are presented in the best audio quality till now. Far superior to recent previous releases. Included is a neat 12 page booklet! If you are into Elvis’ movie years this is a must have.

'The Searcher' DVD vs Collector's Edition: How disappointing for Elvis collectors that the upcoming DVD releases contain no extra outtakes. All those mouth-watering newly-found all-too-short clips in the 3 hour documentary that deserved to be expanded as DVD extras are nowhere to be found.
Ernst Jorgensen told EIN that he had no input in to the final edit of the DVD so it is HBO who are to blame.
It hardly makes the DVD worth buying if you already recorded the show in HD.
With the announcement of pre-orders of 'The Searcher Collector's Edition DVD' we now have it confirmed that both the 'Standard' version and  'Collector's Edition' feature 1 DVD and both run the same time of 205 minutes.
Fans can pay $15 more purely for a bonus 24 page photo booklet (with Introduction by Priscilla Presley!!) along with "access to a digital copy of the content"!
Why would you need this if you already own the DVD?
US Release date yesterday October 16, 2018
EIN reckons this is terrible marketing - even 10 minutes of extra clips would have been a better bonus for 'Collector's Edition'
Prices vary from $44.98 (Collector's) and $34.98 (standard DVD) at the Graceland Shop to $32.99 and  $17.96 for the same product on Amazon.
EIN cannot see this being a big seller that they would hope for.

'Avventura In Oriente' New Import: Victrola label is proud to present an ultimate release of Elvis’ ''Harum Scarum' movie soundtrack material.
What makes this new release so special? Most of it has been released before, but never before in such pristine quality!
The outtakes come from a direct copy of a DAT cassette that was made on November 1989 in New York City.
It was a surprise to discover masters that we had not heard in the way before. On this DAT copy there were also other outtakes from other studio sessions. Most of these outtakes have been released before but never before have they been heard in stereo. The special feature of the Harum Scarum sessions is that the songs were recorded with two drummers that can also be heard simultaneously, this is clearly audible in the sessions.
The mono masters come from the first English pressing of the UK LP Harem Holiday. What you hear is the authentic sound that was on the LP.
As this release deals with the year 1965, some other songs are included on this release as a bonus features, i.e.:
- Crying In the Chapel: was issued on April 6, 1965, in RCA's 'Gold Standard Series'. It became his greatest chart success over a six-year span.
- (Such An) Easy Question: was released as a single on June 8, 1965. The song was also included on the soundtrack for the movie 'Tickle Me', released on June 3, 1965.
EIN notes that the extra filler 1965 tracks only help show RCA's desperation at the time. They have little to do with 'Harum Scarum'.

'Elvis April 10, 1972 Richmond' New Import: The Victrola label also announced a future release called 'Elvis April 10, 1972 Richmond' .
The publicity notes... This is follow up to the 'Elvis April 14, 1972 Greensboro' double CD. You can expect same great quality!
The recording that we obtained was again mixed down from the original masters fairly recently and stored back in the vaults.
We know you will be thrilled when you hear this recording, which has the signature of the best Elvis live mixes released officially thus far.
The wide, dynamic stereo sound is just friggin' unbelievable and puts you right in that Richmond audience.
'Elvis April 10, 1972 Richmond' release will be presented in a deluxe double digipak, accompanied with a 16-page booklet.
More details and track listing will be published soon, so stay tuned!
EIN Notes that these tapes are not the RCA Master tapes as suggested. The recent AMIGA On-Tour Deluxe set also featured a beautiful Stereo version of the same Richmond concert - the best version yet released. - See EIN's review here.
Hopefully FTD / SONY will get their act together before we all die of old age and finally release their planned 'On Tour' box-set.

'Black Tornado' New Import: E.P. Collector label's new double-cd audience recorded release is 'Black Tornado'.
Now, when majority of Elvis import labels is only re-releasing old stuff in new packages, E. P. Collector label is coming with another surprise! The Cleveland, November 6, 1976 Afternoon & Evening shows are previously unreleased and moreover, they were never available in listenable sound, until now!
Elvis November ’71 tour was rated as one of Elvis’ very best in the 70s. Compared with previous tours in September and November 1970, individual shows were longer and set list was variable more than before. It was the only tour in 1971 and it was the last time when Elvis was accompanied by The Imperials, too. Elvis played 14 shows in 12 days in 12 different cities.
Among the concert highlights there are fantastic performances of 'Proud Mary', 'You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling', 'How Great Thou Art', 'I’m Leavin’', 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', 'Lawdy Miss Clawdy' and 'The Impossible Dream'.
Both concerts are taken from direct transfers of recently-found original audience-recorded cassette tapes. Those shows were recorded by Elvis fan Joyce Bauer, who passed away a couple of years ago. She followed much of Elvis' 1971 tour in November, and her tapes have never been in circulation before. You may ask your supplier for samples.
This CD is packaged in a nicely designed double digipak with collection of images taken during both shows, reprints concert tickets and various press reviews and newspaper clippings.

'Elvis' Home-Recordings' Bootleg Cancelled: As we noted below several Elvis bootleg suppliers have jumped on the bandwagon offering the newly found Bad Nauheim home-recordings. These recordings discovered by the truly generous Juan Luis Gonzalez Brugal have been offered for FREE DOWNLOAD via the Phoenix Elvis Forum.
One company the "3DM audio" label however offered these recordings on CD as a "non-profit base" release.
Others have been priced at US$45 / EuroE40 + postage for the 3cds.
EIN is hoping that these recordings find a home on FTD perhaps on CD 2 of the 'For LP Fans Only' Classic Album.
Today's update is that the "3DM audio" label has now cancelled their"non-profit base" release.
They note, "Due to the push of dealers and producers we are not able to realize our gesture.
It is impossible to give something for free..
if we would have more reactions it can go after all but for now.
We are very, very sorry to inform you that, due to the low response of our offer to GIVE out the home recordings restored
on CD for only production costs, is cancelled.
We need a minimum of 300 orders to break even. At the moment the numbers are too low.
The material is ready with correct facts and background information.
Not like what all announced releases of these home recordings state.
We wanted to enclose the complete fool sessions and a short unreleased conversation from a German fan with Elvis in Germany in 1958 about music with was very informative from Elvis side. As also rare kindly donated unpublished photos.
We realize that an act of generosity less appreciated than asking the full amount.

In the meantime Juan Luis has confirmed, "If I sign something it would be a waiver to Sony/FTD. I am not making money off of this or endorsing anything outside FTD/Sony. I hope that is very clear."

'The Asheville Marathon' Import CD: The publicity notes... “AudiRec” is back with a very nice and special 4 CD box, titled 'The Asheville Marathon'. Hear three of the most unusual Elvis Presley Shows of the 1970s! When Elvis came to Asheville, NC in late July of 1975 to play the final shows of his running tour, he was indeed in a “giving” mood. Elvis delivered a whole bunch of rarely performed song material and handled a big part of them in a kind of “Elvis By Request” style. Since his Record Company RCA was not on hand to record these shows professionally, we can be thankful that fans did record the shows at least with private (non-professional) equipment. One thing is clear: It would have been a big pity if none of those three shows would have been recorded and therefore been “lost” forever. In July 1975, Elvis played 21 shows in 11 different cities. This tour was rated as being one of the very best in Elvis' last years. His powerful vocal delivery, his entertaining mood and his willingness to improvise various unusual songs are what make this tour such a stand-out, and the final 3 shows in Asheville, NC were simply stunning! In Asheville Elvis also played the longest shows of the tour and performed many rarely sung songs. He was kind of promoting his new album “ELVIS TODAY” with “Shake A Hand”, “Fairytale”, “T.R.O.U.B.L.E.” and “Pieces Of My Life”. More than any time before he was interacting with his audience, singing songs by request. For example “Memphis Tennessee”, “An American Trilogy”, “Heartbreak Hotel”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Something”, “Return To Sender” or “Wooden Heart”.
Elvis was in a hilarious mood. He gave away several golden rings and a fan in the first row - Mike Harris from Asheville - was lucky to get Elvis’ Gibson Ebony Dove guitar! It was the famous guitar which Elvis used in Aloha From Hawaii. Later in the show, Mike Harris thought Elvis was gonna ask for the guitar back, but Elvis leaned down and said: “'No that's yours. I gave that to you for a reason, and it's gonna help you out some day.” These shows were previously released, but all original releases are very hard to find now. Instead of doing a simple “copy & paste” job, we have asked our friends from SA to help us to enhance the sound from scratch, so we are sure that those shows never sounded better! The release is presented in a strong and stable 25 x 14 cm de-luxe 4 CD Long-Box accompanied by a 16-page booklet, filled with a great collection of photos taken in Asheville and press reviews. To make our release even more attractive for serious collectors, we present it in 3 different variations. It means 3 different covers and each cover´s got its own disc labels, too! The content of the CD´s does of course NOT vary! Choose the one version you like most or “collect all three”! In any case do not miss the opportunity to own your copy / copies of “THE ASHEVILLE MARATHON“! It’s the ultimate release of Elvis' magical July 1975 Asheville shows!
EIN Note: All these shows have been previously out on bootleg 'Gyrating Asheville' and 'Pieces Of My Life' being the most well-known.

‘Where No One Stands Alone’ In-Depth Review: It is forty years since Elvis Presley entered a recording studio and he seems very reluctant to record anything new. So in terms of releasing a "new" album of Elvis material the topic has always been a tricky one. After commercial failure of the last Elvis / RPO album that concept has been dropped in favour of an Andy Childs led “Re-Vamp” of some Elvis Gospel.
Recorded over fifty years ago there is no doubt that some of Elvis’ Gospel songs might benefit from some sensitive modern production. And, after all, there is an interesting selection of tracks to work with. Not only that, but Lisa Marie was also involved in the recording.
So can a new ‘Re-Vamp’ of Elvis Gospel really work and can we recommend it to Elvis collectors?
Click here as EIN's Piers Beagley and Bryan Gruszka are back again to cause "Double-trouble" and supply a very detailed review, discovering what's good and bad...
And HAVE YOUR SAY - what do you think of the new album? Are we wrong in our opinions?

'Walk A Mile In My Shoes' Import Box-set: Recently announced was a 7-CD set containing all Elvis' material from his "On Stage' recordings.
The publicity notes.. A beautiful 7 CD deluxe boxset 'Walk A Mile In My Shoes' Elvis On Stage' fully packed with awesome multitrack recordings from:
JAN 26 1970 - opening show, FEB 15, 1970 -- midnight show, FEB 16, 1970 - dinner show, FEB 16, 1970- midnight show, FEB 17, 1970 - dinner show, FEB 17, 1970 - midnight show
FEB 18, 1970 - dinner show, FEB 18, 1970 - midnight show, FEB 19, 1970 - dinner show, FEB 19, 1970 - midnight show, FEB 23, 1970 - closing show, PLUS many Bonus Tracks.
These recordings were made for the 1970 'ON STAGE" album release.
This is Elvis at his best! - 7 CDS + full color booklet.
EIN notes - The set features nothing new gathering all its material from official releases as well as previous bootlegs such as 'Elvis Rebooked'. The bootleggers are struggling to make a buck. Checking the tracklist they have taken the recent FTD 'OFF STAGE' release and re-sequenced it to the two correct concerts.
Other material is such as FTD's 'Polk Salad Annie' Feb 15th show.
It all combines to makes 7CDs, albeit the two 16th & 17th shows being only the 6 / 7 songs released by FTD so are super short.
I guess it is comparatively cheaper than buying every release individually but then again, nothing new and no nice booklets photos. Fans should support official releases.

Three new Straight Arrow CD releases:
'Rumble In Rhode Island' - Out first "Rumble In Rhode Island: Musical Chairs at The King's Lair". This is Straight Arrow's very first release from Elvis' June/July 1974 tour and the Providence concert is easily one of the best of the tour!
The Straight Arrow team is always looking for rare, unknown or seemingly lost recordings. Once again, the labels researchers were successful - the Providence, June 22nd, 1974 3pm is a completely new show, even for die-hard Elvis fans. It has never been in circulation - in any form! Our CD is taken directly from an original audience recorded mastertape source. It was recorded by the same guy who taped those other Providence concerts on June 26, 1976 (afternoon) and the May 23rd, 1977 shows, which we released in 2011 ("Matinee Majesty" and "Funny How Time Slips Away", both hard to find CDs now). The sound quality is very good for an off-line recording in a big auditorium. Highlights include a pounding 'Big Boss Man', and a truly dynamite 'Trying To Get To You'. 'Help Me' is sung with great warmth and sincerity.
This release is presented in a de-luxe 6-panel digipak. Unfortunately, only very few useful Providence June 22, 1974 3pm photos were available, and shots taken during June/July 1974 tour have been used.
Tracklist: 01. Introduction: Also Sprach Zarathustra - 02. C. C. Rider - 03. I Got A Woman / Amen - 04. Love Me - 05. Tryin' To Get To You - 06. All Shook Up - 07. Love Me Tender - 08. Hound Dog - 09. Fever - 10. Polk Salad Annie - 11. Why Me Lord - 12. Suspicious Minds - 13. Introductions of singers, musicians, orchestra - 14. I Can't Stop Loving You - 15. Help Me - 16. An American Trilogy - 17. Let Me Be There (with reprise) - 18. Funny How Time Slips Away - 19. Big Boss Man - 20. (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear / Don't Be Cruel - 21. Can't Help Falling In Love - 22. Closing Vamp / Announcements.
'My Wish Came True': It was the 1st tour of 1977 and in spite of his unhealthy look, Elvis was in solid voice - especially near the end of the tour. February 20 is one of best shows of the tour and it marked the first time that Elvis attempted his recent single "Moody Blue".
Our release has been taken directly from a 1st generation copy of an original audience recorded master cassette tape, as recorded by Claude Baker who passed away in September 2016. Claude attended, and recorded, all of Elvis' shows during the February tour of 1977.
Portions of the Charlotte concert were previously released from a soundboard tape on the official 'Follow That Dream' label, but this show has never been available on CD in its entirety before. Note: This is the very last audience-recorded show from the February 1977 tour that is still unreleased. The sound quality is very good. There are highlights a-plenty, including a soulful 'You Gave Me A Mountain', strong versions of 'My Way' and 'How Great Thou Art', and a truly gorgeous 'Unchained Melody'.
As usual, this release is presented in a de-luxe 6-panel digipak, with a collection of photos taken in Charlotte, February 20th, 1977 and two local press reviews. With special thanks to the late Bob Heis.
Tracklist: 01. Introduction: Also Sprach Zarathustra - 02. C. C. Rider - 03. I Got A Woman / Amen - 04. Love Me - 05. Fairytale - 06. You Gave Me A Mountain - 07. Jailhouse Rock - 08. O Sole Mio (Sherrill Nielsen) / It's Now Or Never - 09. Little Sister - 10. (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel - 11. My Way - 12. Moody Blue (excerpt) - 13. How Great Thou Art - 14. Introductions of singers, musicians, orchestra - 15. Early Mornin' Rain - 16. What'd I Say - 17. Johnny B. Goode - 18. Drum Solo (Ronnie Tutt) - 19. Bass Solo #1 (Blues - Jerry Scheff) - 20. Bass Solo #2 (Battle Of New Orleans - Jerry Scheff) - 21. Piano Solo (Tony Brown) - 22. Love Letters - 23. School Day - 24. Hurt (with reprise) - 25. Hound Dog - 26. My Wish Came True (excerpt) - 27. Unchained Melody (with false start) - 28. Can't Help Falling In Love - 29. Closing Vamp / Announcements.
'There's A Sweet Spirit In This Place' - A new special find. But just weeks ago we were suddenly able to obtain this very interesting recording in excellent sound - and complete. We are aware of the fact that there is a so-called May 4th, 1976 D/S in circulation, but it presents only half of the show in average sound. It was even spliced with about 30 minutes of May 2nd, 1976 D/S! What we are releasing now is the real McCoy, folks!
So now for the first time ever - in excellent audience recorded sound, and complete from beginning to the end! The show is a true delight - Elvis is in a relaxed mood, singing remarkably well... Best show & best sound of the season!
This release is presented in a de-luxe 6-panel digipak with a collection of photos taken in Lake Tahoe, May 1976 as well as an original pre-season promotional article.

Elvis Home-Recording New Bootlegs: From the moment that the new Elvis Home-Recording tapes were discovered and offered for free, EIN could hear the bootleggers' computers whirring into life creating "New" bootlegs CD covers.
It was all so inevitable and a little sad - signs of desperation if anything.
At least THREE bootlegs were announced in the following 24 hours and all sadly opportunistic and basically rip-offs.
What did the wily Col Parker say back in the fifties, "How much does it cost if it is FREE!"
Fans can download these fabulous three hours of Elvis jamming at home in Germany for FREE. (click here to the highly recommended Phoenix Elvis Forum)
Please see the tracklists at my good friend Keith Flynn website here.
Any bootlegger rushing out these newly found recordings have obviously done no quality audio remastering work.
Hopefully FTD / Ernst Jørgensen will find a right place to officially release them - possibly CD2 of the future Classic Album 'For LP Fans Only'

Or perhaps MRS may release them in the future once their audio engineer 'Studio D' has worked his wonders.
For a fan's point of view, the more Bootleg versions that are announced then the less that each of them will make from them. Prices have been noted at US$45 / EuroE40 + postage for the 3cds.
Rather strangely "3DM audio" label (above) announced that their release is a "non-profit base" requested by the donor of the recording Juan Luis Gonzalez Brugal.
This however was a typical bootleg marketing ruse!
Juan Luis has confirmed, "I am not endorsing anyone or any thing. If I sign something, it would be a waiver to Sony/FTD. I am not making money off of this or endorsing anything outside FTD/Sony. I hope that is very clear. Someone here with connections please let all the Elvis news sites know."
The tracklist of the newly discovered "missing tape" is below
(News, Source;ElvisInfoNet)

Newly discovered tape Tracklist: 'He Knows Just What I Need' (multiple versions), Reading The News - Lamar Fike, 'Cool Water', 'Like A Baby', 'His Hand In Mine', 'Young Love' - Red West, 'His Hand In Mine', 'Return To Me' , 'Are You Sincere', 'Are You Lonesome Tonight?', 'Stand By Me', 'Just a Closer Walk With Thee', 'Take My Hand, Precious Lord', 'Oh, Lonesome Me'.

New Elvis Home Recordings Discovered: EIN is stunned that another tape has been discovered from Elvis' Home Recordings in Bad Nauheim, Germany late 1958.
HUGE THANKS to Juan Luis Gonzalez Brugal who has obtained the tape which features Elvis singing at home with Red West, Rex Mansfield, Charlie Hodge and Lamar Fike.
Previous songs from the same session have been released such as Earth Angel, I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen, There's No Tomorrow, and The Fool.
However this second tape features some fabulous incredible performances of 'He Knows Just What I Need', 'Like A Baby', 'His Hand In Mine', a very different arrangement of  'Stand By Me' even an amazing home-recording of 'Are You Lonesome Tonight?' all being performed at home before Elvis recorded them professionally.
In the soliloquy Elvis sings different lyrics, "The stage is bare, I'm standing there, in the part of a broken heart, And if you won't come back to be they will bring the curtain down"
The audio quality is (mostly) excellent and this is certainly a far more important find than the recent Gladys Presley singing 'Home Sweet Home'. These unreleased songs would have been GOLD had they been used in 'The Searcher'.
For full tracklist see my good friend Keith Flynn Sessions website here
EIN gives its greatest thanks to Juan Luis Gonzalez Brugal for the discovery. And congratulations from all Elvis fans. Now it is up to Ernst Jørgensen to find a good place for a release. 'For LP Fans Only' Classic Album extra disc perhaps.

Two New FTDs for September: FTD is pleased to announce two new releases for this month...
- “Elvis: `What Now My Love” - a live soundboard released as a 5” double-digipack, this set features Elvis in great form from his legendary Vegas shows in August 1972 at the Hilton Hotel, Las Vegas.
The opening lines of “What Now My Love” will send thrills down your spine! The shows are in above average ‘soundboard quality’ but unfortunately the ending is missing from the second show.
EIN notes that both these concerts have been previously released on fine quality bootlegs, Fort Baxter's 'Elvis At Full Blast' and Madison's 'Hot August Night'. Let's hope the new audio re-master makes it worthy of an official FTD re-release.

'The Perfect 1' New Import CD: The publicity states.. We’d like to present to you a collection containing Elvis’ first takes, recorded throughout the 60's and 70's. We at Gladyson consider these first takes to be on par and sometimes even better than the master recordings. Elvis in the studio did some magnificent first takes, but as sessions tend to go, the songs keep evolving, and everything gets perfected, but some of the magic seems to dissapear with each passing take. We have chosen the best first takes and collected them in this 40 track, 6 panel digi-pack. We have left some dialogue in where fitting, and are pleased with the results. ALL TAKE 1.

Back in 2003 EIN published an article called "'The First Cut Is The Deepest' Elvis on the Creative Edge'" about the importance of Elvis' first takes. The article was later published by the magazine ETM&HM.
Soon after that FTD started featuring 'The First Takes' on their classic Album Series
The subject is indeed an interesting one, however no collector surely needs to buy a bootleg of what they can compile themselves!

'Elvis: Ohama, Nebraska '74' FTD in-depth Review: This FTD double-pack features two concerts from Elvis’ third tour of 1974, both performances from Omaha on June 30 1974. It was the first time Elvis had played Ohama, Nebraska since 1956 and it was the penultimate city on this 25 performance tour. Elvis played three shows over two days, and a six week holiday was in sight.
Elvis was in a fine mood, did he really...
- Announce that he was  ‘Jimmy Dean’ “I’m here to sell some Pork Sausages”?
- Joke that his first movie was 1972 porn flick ‘Behind the Green Door’?
- Start singing “What a friend we have in Jesus”?
. . . . . You bet he did!

Go here as Elvis soundboard super-collector Geoffrey McDonnell & EIN's Piers Beagley give you the complete low-down on this new FTD double-pack ....

EIN says - Beware of dodgy bootlegs !
'The Alternate "TODAY" 2 LP Bootleg: From the Hepcat label this looks like a dodgy bootleg.
The publicity notes, Elvis' last real studio sessions took place on March 10-13, 1975 and resulted in the Today album.
Now 43 years later Hepcat records releases :
'The Alternate "TODAY" as a deluxe 2 LP set.
Now released and it is a true beauty!
Available in black or blue virgin vinyl in a deluxe gatefold cover.
This is a very limited edition so get it while you can.

This Hepcat album features the "Undubbed Masters" plus various outtakes.
EIN notes that the bootleggers must be really scraping the barrel as this "new" double album is almost identical to FTD's - "TODAY - The Original Session Mixes" VINYL 2-LP Set released back in November 2016.
Even the outtakes are similar takes.
Why not buy the real deal - and with a classier album label that's not pink!

'Elvis Summer Festival' Bootleg Rip-off: Advertised elsewhere a new Elvis bootleg "Elvis Summer Festival" featured the publicity...
..."A fantastic special Summer Release, this cool looking 6 panel digipack CD contains 18 rare and hard to find outtakes. All tracks are unreleased in this form !
Have yourself a wonderful summer with this excellent collection ! Limited Edition only!!

EIN thinks this is one of the crappiest rip-offs we have seen in quite a while.
The tracklist is - Fountain Of Love (Take 6), For The Millionth & The Last Time (Take 7), Slicin' Sand (Take 10), Sand Castles (Take 1), Riding The Rainbow (Stereo Master), I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here (Take 13), Wonderful World (Take 6), Night Rider (Take 5) Island Of Love (Take 8), Take Me To The Fair (Take 7), No More (Take 9), Home Is Where The Heart Is (Take 14), You'll Be Gone ( Take 4), Mexico (Take 6), Where Do You Come From
(Take 13), Rock A Hula Baby (Take 3), Happy Ending (Take 9), What A Wonderful Life (Take 6).
EIN notes that all these tracks are officially released on the FTD label, at least five of them on FTD's 'Elvis For Everyone' in superb audio quality including Fountain Of Love (Tk 6), Slicin' Sand (Tk 10), Happy Ending (Tk 9) and No More (Tk 9)! What a rip-off. Buy the real deal.

.. Groundbreaking New Elvis Album features 14 Original Performances of Gospel Songs with Newly-Recorded Instrumentation and Backing Vocals featuring Legendary Presley Alumnae including Darlene Love, Cissy Houston, The Imperials and The Stamps
RCA/Legacy Recordings will release "Elvis Presley - Where No One Stands Alone," a new Elvis album celebrating the artist's everlasting love of gospel music, on Friday, August 10.
Produced by Joel Weinshanker, Lisa Marie Presley and Andy Childs, "Where No One Stands Alone" introduces newly-recorded instrumentation and backing vocal contributions from music legends who'd performed on-stage and/or in-the-studio with Elvis. It also includes a reimagined duet with Elvis and his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, on the album's title track and spiritual touchstone.
"It was a very powerful and moving experience to sing with my father," wrote Lisa Marie in her notes for the album. "The lyrics speak to me and touch my soul. I'm certain that the lyrics spoke to my father in much the same way."

Background vocalists on the album include: Darlene Love (who first sang with Elvis on his 1968 NBC television special); Dr. Emily "Cissy" Houston (who, with The Sweet Inspirations, sang with Elvis on-stage beginning in 1969); Terry Blackwood, Armond Morales and Jim Murray (members of The Imperials, who sang on Elvis' How Great Thou Art - with the title song winning the 1967 Grammy for Best Sacred Performance); and Donnie Sumner, Bill Baize, Ed Hill and Larry Strickland (members of longtime backup group, The Stamps).

"Elvis Presley - Where No One Stands Alone" provides new musical perspectives on 14 of the singer's favorite pieces of gospel music, from the reverential to the celebratory, with song selections including Presley's

beloved enduring gospel classics (the 1965 Top 5 smash "Crying In The Chapel," "How Great Thou Art," "You'll Never Walk Alone"), praise-filled gospel-rockers (Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller's "Saved") and traditional hymns and spirituals ("So High," "Stand By Me," "In The Garden," "Amazing Grace").
Elvis Presley once said, "Since I was two years old, all I knew was gospel music. It became such a part of my life, it was as natural as dancing. A way to escape my problems, and my way of release." It was Elvis'
explosive mix of styles--blues, bluegrass, country, swing, pop--that generated his iconic world-changing rock n' roll, but it was the hymns, spirituals and church music of his childhood, the deep-seated gospel roots that sustained Elvis and his musical vision throughout his life.
Friends and family would often recall hearing Elvis sing gospel tunes at home and to warm up before concerts. "We do two shows a night for five weeks," Presley said in an interview featured in the documentary 'Elvis On Tour' "A lotta times we'll go upstairs and sing until daylight-gospel songs. We grew up with it... It more or less puts your mind at ease. It does mine."
Lisa Marie states in the album notes, "This was his favorite genre - no question about it. He seemed to be at his most passionate, and at peace while singing gospel. He would truly come alive - whether he was singing just for himself and me at home, or on stage in front of thousands of fans."
TrackList 1. I've Got Confidence 2. Where No One Stands Alone (with Lisa Marie Presley) 3. Saved 4. Crying In The Chapel 5. So High 6. Stand By Me 7. Bosom Of Abraham 8. How Great Thou Art 9. I, John 10. You'll Never Walk Alone 11. He Touched Me 12. In The Garden 13. He Is My Everything 14. Amazing Grace

'Where No One Stands Alone' New SONY release: There have been rumours going around about Lisa Marie working with the Elvis/RPO producers and recording a new Elvis / Lisa Marie duet.
This is one of the likely reasons Lisa Marie has such prominence in the 2018 Elvis week celebrations.
'Where No One Stands Alone' - Elvis "new" re-imagined Gospel CD (as first noted by EIN back in 2016!) has now been unofficially announced - and with a release date of August 10th 2018

... "Where No One Stands Alone" celebrates the power and passion of Elvis Presley's gospel recordings. Produced by Joel Weinshanker, Lisa Marie Presley and Andy Childs, "Where No One Stands Alone" introduces newly-recorded instrumentation, rare alternate vocals from Elvis, and backing vocal contributions from music legends who'd performed on-stage and/or in-the-studio with Elvis such as, Darlene Love; Cissy Houston; Terry Blackwood, Armond Morales and Jim Murray of The Imperials; and Bill Baize, Ed Hill, Donnie Sumner and Larry Strickland of The Stamps Quartet.

The album also includes a reimagined duet with Elvis and his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, on the album's title track and spiritual touchstone.

'Elvis April 14 1972 Greensboro' New Import: The Victrola label is proud to present Elvis’ powerhouse concert in Greensboro Coliseum on April 14th 1972.
So what makes this new release so special? Yes, it has been released before, most recently on the Amiga label boxed set ''Elvis On Tour - Deluxe Edition''. But this release blows that set right out of the water! You will not believe the sound, which for the first time comes from the actual RCA tapes. Yes, you read that correctly. For the first time, these are actual multitrack master recordings, and not the nafta tapes that have been used this far as a source for this show. On the box set, it was even presented in mono (sloppy, that) and Madison released it earlier in narrow stereo on "Greensboro Revolution". The recording that we obtained was mixed down from the original 8- and 16-track masters fairly recently, but then, oddly enough, stored back in the vaults. We know you will be thrilled when you hear this recording, which has the signature of the best Elvis live mixes released officially thus far. The wide, dynamic stereo sound is just friggin' unbelievable and puts you right in that Greensboro audience. That may sound like hype, but just wait for the samples!

Elvis at the peak of his powers, April 1972, driving the audience into a frenzy... And you are right there! Do not miss this sonic delight, which may well be your favorite Elvis live album in the years to come. That's how good this is. We are clearly thrilled to be able to release this for you, from the actual mastertapes, in a fresh, professionally mixed stunning stereo sound. As a bonus, we've added a bonus disc featuring sacred performances and additional live songs in glorious stereo, as well as the unedited ''Funny How Time Slips Away'' from the April 5th 1972 rehearsal (badly butchered up on the aforementioned box-set). These days, there aren't a lot of surprises left in the Elvis world (wasn't that "Searcher" film a real doozy?), but this is definitely one of them. Grab it while you can! We do understand some people will be sceptical about this project, but for once, this is what it is! To assure these people, we will be posting samples soon, so that they can compare & make graphics to their hearts' content. This is the real deal, folks... And one project that we're damn proud of. A killer release that deserves to be in your collection.
''Elvis April 14, 1972 Greensboro'' release is presented in a deluxe double digipak accompanied with a 16-page booklet.
We are proud to announce too, that ''Elvis April 14, 1972 Greensboro'' will be released later this year on 180grams vinyl in a beautiful gatefold sleeve, and with a large booklet filled with many rare pix.
The Victrola label is planning more releases in 2018, so stay tuned!

'Don't mess around with me, I'M EVIL' New Import CD: This year marks the 50th anniversary of Elvis legendary "Comeback Special".
Since the performances cannot be beaten, the best thing for us to do would be to present them in the same way as they were recorded... but since that has been done over and over (and over and over) CMT is proud to present this STAR production , which is the best release containing the 1968 recordings..... in 50 years!!
Much time and effort went into this release, some live tracks have been "spliced" from different shows, some studio tracks have been re-created and sound breathtaking!
The live tracks are blended very cool, so you get the feeling you are listening to a complete show.
Probably THE highlight is the "complete" version of Trouble/Guitar Man, cool edits make this work very well and makes the track even more "Evil"
Some tracks have been shortened to make it a different listening experience, "That's All Right" for example is presented just like the original 1954 version, with no repeating versus and chorus.
"Let Yourself Go" has been spliced with the instrumental version and sounds very different. The "Gospel" segment has been re-created from scratch containing clever splices to make it sound just like the original version, only different ..."Blue Suede Shoes" (Stand up) has been re-edited and kicks some serious ass.
Throw in some more spliced takes , a rare rehearsal version of Blue Moon of Kentucky (spliced) and some cool live edits, turn up to volume and enjoy this excellent release
Presented in a six panel digipack, limited to 500 copies, this one will be gone soon!

'3764 - The Final Recordings' New Import CD: Another new CD from CMT/STAR. Includes all tracks from both "Elvis Presley Boulevard" and "Moody Blue"
He'll Have To Go has been remade into a very different sounding track, it starts off with Elvis singing "He'll Have to Ho" James throws in a lick, and then our man bursts into "Put your sweet lips...."
"Love Coming Down" has been extended but there are no repeatable parts.
"Danny Boy" has been spliced with the live version, and America starts and ends with short studio parts, filled with a live version, also recorded in Memphis!
Named above are only a few highlights, fans of the series know what to expect and will not be disapointed by this latest addition.
Beautiful artwork matching the original release.

EIN review ‘Elvis: The Searcher’ Deluxe CD boxset: If your main interest in Elvis is his music then HBO’s ‘Elvis: The Searcher’ will probably become your favourite documentary ever produced about our hero.
The companion 3-CD deluxe edition box set offers an expanded 55-track overview of Elvis’ career as heard in the film including familiar hit recordings, powerful vocal performances and rare outtakes plus a bonus disc of additional recordings relevant to the film - including several early singles that inspired Elvis.
Thom Zimny said, "To live with the music of The Searcher over a period of years was more than a privilege. It changed my thinking about the emotional life of songs, both for those who make them and those who listen to them."
While keen Elvis fans may already own all the chosen songs Director Thom Zimny's selection is so eclectic that there is still plenty to enjoy and discover. But does the box-set really work without having seen the film?
Go here as EIN's Piers Beagley provides an indepth review and investigates how the new box-set works compared with the HBO documentary....

'Saturday Night Fever' New Import CD: The Ragdoll label latest release is ''Saturday Night Fever' from March 30th 1975 dinner show AUDIENCE RECORDING. (EIN notes it was a Sunday, not Saturday!)
In march of 1975 Elvis gave 29 performances, he opened this season on March 18, 1975, and the crowd at the Las Vegas Hilton saw a rejuvenated performer, as well as a rejuvenated setlist.
Elvis added tracks from his new album 'Elvis Today', songs like ''Green Green Grass Of Home'' ''And I Love You So'' and ''Fairytale'' would be introduced, with the latter two staying in the setlist for most of those shows. Elvis also re-introduced some songs that haven't been sung regularly for 2 years, including ''My Boy'' ''Burning Love'' and ''I'll Remember You'', the latter one having been sung only once the year before in Lake Tahoe. Here on this disc you will find for the first time, the near complete March 30th dinner show, which was previously released incomplete on ''Live From Las Vegas'' by the lf2 label ex vinyl. Ragdoll was able to obtain a new source, which included the near complete show (the tape ran out near the end of ''Hound Dog'') which was in very good sound quality. Despite being incomplete we were able to get another tape of this show to complete this release from a tape source and not from a needle-drop. The sound is ambient and very good, the only song left incomplete is ''Can't Help Falling In Love''. Be sure to ask your dealer for samples.

'The First Time Ever I Lay With You' New Import CD: Out soon from the E. P. Collector label  "The First Time Ever I Lay With You" San Diego, April 24th, 1976 afternoon show AUDIENCE RECORDING.
When the majority of Elvis import labels is only re-releasing old stuff in new packages, E. P. Collector label is coming with another surprise! The San Diego, April 24th, 1976 afternoon show is previously unreleased and moreover, it is completely a new show for Elvis fans – never before in circulation, in any form!
Elvis April ’76 tour was rated as very good one, with longer shows and variable set list. Unlike later that year, when Elvis ended his concerts quickly after introductions of his band, here he gave no less than 9 songs after 'School Day' orchestra solo!
Elvis’ drummer Ronnie Tutt was back in band and pianist Shane Kiester was replaced by Tony Brown.
Among the concert highlights there are 'Tryin' To Get To You', 'America', 'Hurt', 'Burning Love' and 'How Great Thou Art'.
One song stands out: a rare, heartfelt performance of complete version of 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face'. This song was performed only 3 known times, in 1976.
This concert is taken from a recently found first generation copy of an original audience recorded cassette tape. You may ask your supplier for samples.
This CD is packaged in a nicely designed digipak with great collection of quality images taken in San Diego, CA, April 24, 1976.
If you have enjoyed our other April ’76 tour release 'The Beat Is Back“ then you are sure to enjoy our latest release, too.

'Looked Into The Wings' New Import CD: The 1976 October tour was another good one, after several problematic tours in the Summer. Our 'Looked Into The Wings' AUDIENCE RECORDING is from October 21, 1976. Elvis had lost some 10-12 kilos and he was able to wear his jumpsuits from 1974 again. He looked much healthier and he was in good mood and in solid voice.
We have released Elvis’ last Kalamazoo concert from April 26, 1977 in 2017. Now we have decided to release the previous show from Kalamazoo. We had complete original tape of this show in our vaults since late 90s, but we have considered it not so good for release because Elvis was distant and wild audience reaction too prominent.
A new tape has been found of much better sound. Unfortunately, new tape was incomplete and middle part was repaired using our old source.  As usual, you may ask your supplier for samples.
Playlist is rather typical for Autumn ’76 shows. Among the concert highlights there are 'Help Me', 'And I Love You So', 'America', 'Love Letters', 'Hurt' and 'Blue Christmas'.
This CD is packaged in a nicely designed digipak, too. Since there were no suitable photographs from the Kalamazoo performance, all images used for this project were taken in Cleveland, Ohio just two days later, on the 23rd where Elvis wore the same 'King of Spades' jumpsuit.
Note: label E. P. Collector is planning special double CD called 'Black Tornado' with newly found original tapes of Elvis’ concerts in Cleveland, OH, November 6, 1971 (afternoon and evening), which were never before available in good sound! So stay tuned!
Tracklist: 01. Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001 Theme) - 02. C. C. Rider - 03. medley: I Got A Woman / Amen - 04. Love Me - 05. If You Love Me (Let Me Know) - 06. You Gave Me A Mountain - 07. 'Elvis: Murfreesboro '74'' FTD In-Depth Review: March 1974 was Elvis' ninth tour of the US and included twenty-five performances in under 3 weeks. Freed from the constraints of the Las Vegas Hilton casino crowd, Elvis was in fine form and putting on great shows. The new FTD double-CD features Elvis' two Murfreesboro shows March 14 and March 19 (the penultimate concert before 'Live In Memphis') from this 1974 tour.

FTD have already released four concerts from this tour, the Tulsa March 1 Opening Show, the Memphis March 17 Evening show, the Richmond March 18 concert plus the RCA recorded 'Live In Memphis' March 20 Closing Night.
So do we really need yet another two 1974 soundboards from this March tour? Well, well, well.. the answer is a definite YES!

Elvis soundboard super-collector Geoffrey McDonnell & EIN's Piers Beagley check out this new FTD double-pack .....

'Kissin' Cousins' and 'Easter Eggs' Spliced Takes: Another two "Spliced takes" albums announced.
- 'Easter Eggs' Spliced Takes: This one includes all tracks from the 1966 recording sessions, many gospel songs were recorded, but also some  excellent other tracks. CMT managed to produce a full new album with high standard spliced takes only the STAR team can deliver.
To name just one highlight it has to be the new approach the team did on "Tomorrow is A Long Time" it was re-created from scratch, gives a totally new feel to the song since the "chorus" was used only once and all "verses" were put after one and other. Also a longer intro and outro makes this an outstanding new track!
Other surprises like "Fools Fall in Love" with TWO  saxophone solos and an alternate piano intro for "Where No One Stands Alone" confirms:  This is a MUST have!
Again the STAR team has done all the edits on this album, and they did an excellent job again , with lots of excellent edits, and surprises. Unlike other “import” labels, they truly were able to produce an album using many incomplete takes , to create beautiful new tracks.
Run On - Spliced take 3,1,1,2, - How Great  Thou Art - Spliced take 1,2,4, - Stand By Me - Spliced take 9,10,2, : Where No One Stands Alone - Spliced take 1/Wp take 1, : Down in the Alley - Spliced take 1,2, : Tomorrow is A Long Time - recreated master
Love Letters - Spliced take 5, : So High - Spliced take 2,2,3, : Farther Along - Spliced take 1,2,3, : By and By - Spliced take fs,7,9
In the Garden  - Spliced take 1,2,3 (snowbird), : Beyond the Reef - Spliced take 1,2, : Somebody Bigger Then You And I - Spliced Take 3,11,wp5, : Without Him Spliced Take 11,8,14, : If the Lord Wasn't Walking By My Side - Spliced Take 3,2,4,1
Where Could I Go But To the Lord - Spliced Master, : Come What May - Spliced Take 3,11,wp5  3,2,7,6,7,2, : Fools Fall in Love c 1,4,4,5,4, : Oh How I Love Jesus - Spliced Home Recording.
- Kissin Cousins - Spliced Take Special: An incredible new album, featuring extended versions, alternate takes including new instrumental tracks and some pretty cool edits!
Don't think you already heard these! ALL tracks are brandnew edits and sound very rare, The title track for example starts of with an alternate opening and includes the extra verses.
"Gold in the Mountains" has been extended and includes rare alternate musical segments. For "Tender Feeling"  they used the alternate take 1 (vocal) and combined it with an alternate musical track, the result is stunning and sound quality is much better then the master version! "Echoes of Love" includes an alternate Saxophone solo makes you feel as if it is a brandnew take! The "drums" on "Catchin On Fast" are taken from an alternate musical track and put in just at the right spot to make it sound pretty cool and different!
Another highlight must be "Kissin Cousins #1" ... for this song Elvis recorded TWO different vocal styles... here they have "reversed" the vocals, and a complete NEW release is born, where the master has Josh... this track has Jody singing, gives the same "feel" but sounds VERY different! "Smokey Mountain Boy" and "Barefoot Ballad" have alternate extended intro and outros...
Did we say ALL tracks are spliced, so you get an ALL new album!
Tracklisting:
Kissin Cousins #2 - Spliced take 1,2, : Smokey Mountain Boy - Alternate Master, : Gold in the Mountains - Alternate Master, : One Boy, Two Little Girls - Spliced take 2,5,2, : Catchin' On Fast - Alternate Master, : Tender Feeling - Spliced take 1 (vocal) / take 1 (track), : Anyone - Spliced take 2,3, : Barefoot Ballad - Alternate Master, : Once is Enough - Spliced take 1,7,1,7, ; Kissin Cousins - Reversed Master, : Echoes of Love - Spliced take 7,8, Long Lonely Highway - Spliced take 1,2.

Elvis 'The Searcher' Hits & Rarities Soundtrack: Rolling Stone has run a short news piece for the up-coming The Searcher release.
An expansive soundtrack Elvis Presley: The Searcher, will be released April 6th. The soundtrack features a mix of Elvis hits and alternate mixes, while a deluxe edition will feature selections from the documentary's score composed by Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready.
The Searcher soundtrack will be available digitally and on CD and double vinyl LP, while the deluxe edition will packaged as a three-CD set. All versions are available to pre-order.
Along with the original soundtrack and parts of Pearl Jam's Mike McCread's score, the deluxe edition of The Searcher soundtrack will include a plethora of bonus material including additional rarities, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' rendition of "Wooden Heart" and classic R&B, country and gospel songs that inspired Elvis.
The set will also come with a 40-page hardcover book packed with rare photographs and a note from director Thom Zimny.
Thom Zimny, "From day one I had a soundtrack in mind; one that would cover Elvis in a new way and go deep into the vault. Thanks to the help of Sony Legacy and the efforts of Ernst Jorgensen, I was able to pore over thousands of recordings and Elvis Presley outtakes. I also wanted the film's soundtrack to pay tribute to the many artists who influenced Elvis, and to incorporate their music to create a sonic landscape that I hoped would give the viewer the experiences Elvis had absorbing the many genres he was exposed to and influenced by – from gospel, to R&B, to country."
He added that McCready's score "brought additional sonic textures and emotional overtones that helped to capture this artist's journey."
The Searcher will premiere on HBO April 14th.
The film was made with the cooperation of EPE and Zimny was reportedly allowed unprecedented access to the Graceland archives.

'Kissin' Cousins' FTD Soundtrack Review: The final Elvis movie soundtrack album in FTD's Classic Album series.
Kissin’ Cousins was Elvis’ 14th movie release and it was Elvis' first budget movie production.
The 'Kissin’ Cousins' album was released in April 1964 and it was his lowest charting soundtrack album so far.
About the release UK Fan Club President Albert Hand stated, "Here we have an artiste, the finest in the world, being slowly but surely – as a chart prospect – being killed off inches by inches through sheer stupidity”.
Elvis didn't attend the soundtrack session in Nashville and so there is very little available in studio outtakes. FTD however have discovered some previously unreleased material - along with the session backing tracks.

FTD have compiled a packed CD and EIN contributor Ian Garfield checks out this new FTD soundtrack album to discover some fine gems hidden in the old mountain dirt..

3 New FTD Releases: FTD today have announced three new releases for the end of this month. A double digipack 1974 previously unreleaed soundboard, the previously announced book/cd 'Rebel With A Cause' plus the double-vinyl “Elvis – The Fool Album”.
- 'Elvis: Murfreesboro ‘74'.
Released as a 5” digipack, this 2-CD set features Elvis in great form at these two shows on March 14th & 19th 1974 at the Murfreesboro Middle State Tennessee University.
The sound quality and performances from Elvis and the band are really powerful.
“Steamroller Blues” will knock your socks off!.
These two soundboards have never been released before not even on bootleg
FTD have previously released five concerts from this tour (check EIN's FTD releases here) and they have all been very fine indeed.

- 'Rebel With A Cause' Book/CD Combo. Written and produced by David English & Pal Granlund it features newly-discovered images scanned for the first time from the original negatives - exclusive to this book.

The bonus CD features Elvis Presley: Rock ‘N’roll No.2 – an album originally released by HMV in the UK. It also features all 4 songs from Elvis’ first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show on September 9, 1956 and a recording off the afternoon performance of September 26 in Tupelo Mississipi.

The book is 312 pages and author David English notes that two more unseen photos from September 56, one of which shows Elvis paying to go into Malco Theatre just made it into the book before printing.

'Spliced Takes - GI Blues' New Import CD: The CMT / STAR label say, "Tonight's So Right For ..Elvis! Hop, Two, Three, Four.... a new release out soon"
Another winner in the great "Spliced take" series is finished.
There have been lots and lots of "G.I. Blues" releases, but this one sounds completely different, with many tracks NEVER heard before!
A lot of work has been put into this release and it was worth it, presented in high quality card sleeve and disc (both factory pressed)
Including 12 NEW "spliced" tracks from the 1960 recordings
This first 2018 CMT release will blow you away, with lots of surprises, including rare studio material and new edits.
The title track for example has been recreated out of five (!) takes and sounds exciting and fresh, "Wooden Heart" has a new opening, and "Frankfort Special" has some funny studio snippets at the end.
"Big Boots" was build up out of three versions (slow, medium and fast) and even "Blue Suede Shoes" sound different than before, although there was only one take to work with..

New releases from Straight Arrow: The Straight Arrow label have announced the following three new releases, out soon- all of them are AUDIENCE recordings.
- 'Philadelphia Freedom'.
It's the summer of 1976, and America is celebrating its bicentennial. What could be more patriotic than seeing America's greatest entertainer in the city where the countries' Declaration of Independence was formed and signed?
Compared with July and August 1976 concerts, performances in June were of a much better standard and the Philadelphia concert is no exception. Elvis did a fine show that night.
The Philadelphia, June 28th, 1976 show is previously unreleased. Until now, this show was not available in acceptable sound. The only existing tape was in horrible quality. Our release has been taken directly from a previously unreleased original audience-recorded cassette. This concert was recorded by an Elvis fan from Pennsylvania.
This release is presented in a de-luxe 6-panel digipak with collection of photos taken in  Philadelphia, PA, June 28th, 1976 and with great liner notes written by the fan who taped the show!

- 'Rippin' It In Cincinnatti'
It was the 1st tour of 1976 and some of Elvis' key musicians were replaced. Unexpectedly, the result was a surprisingly fresh sound, with keyboards and drums prominent. During this rather short tour, Elvis performed 8 solid and entertaining shows in 4 cities.
The Cincinnati, March 21st, 1976, 2:30pm show is previously unreleased. Once again, this show was not available in acceptable sound thus far. The only existing tape in circulation was in subpar quality. This was the show where Elvis ripped the seat of his blue Bicentennial suit during "Polk Salad Annie", and finished the show dressed in the Rainfall suit. It is one of the very few shows where Elvis left the stage for a while (another example is Baltimore, May 29, 1977, released on our 2CD "Breakdown In Baltimore").
Our release has been taken directly from a first generation copy of a previously unreleased original audience-recorded cassette. This concert was recorded by Elvis super fan John Herman.
As usual, this release is presented in a de-luxe 6-panel digipak with collection of photos taken in Cincinnati and local press reviews. A couple of unpublished John Herman snapshots were added, too.

- 'He's The One In '71'
Our 3rd CD in this batch, and some might say, the best. Straight Arrow is very pleased to bring you  this rare concert recording from Elvis' Summer 1971 festival. It is always a delight to find new tapes from this year and this is an excellent recording of the August 28th dinner show.
Elvis' previous engagement there had shown signs of his high performing standard slipping, but here he sounds like he's back on track again. Late August shows are tight, no-nonsense affairs with Presley in good voice and in strong form. He performs with focus and professionalism, and he sings a fantastic variety of music.
The Las Vegas, August 28th, 1971, Dinner show is previously unreleased. The only existing tape/CDR in circulation is of very poor quality. Our release has been taken directly from a recently obtained first generation copy of an original audience-recorded cassette. This concert was recorded by an Elvis fan from France, Marie Chantal Rivière, who also taped other August 1971 Las Vegas shows.
This release is presented in a de-luxe 6-panel digipak with collection of photos taken in August 1971 and press reviews.

'Elvis: The Bicentennial Show' 1976' FTD In-Depth Review: 1976 is not an easy Elvis live-in-concert year to review. There were no major set-list changes, no dramatic "emotional roller-coaster" of 1974 and no high-flying "Huntsville" 1975 excitements. Apart from the exceptional blast of the final December 1976 Tour the year was the inevitable downward spiral.

However there were some highlights along the way and Elvis collectors have always been keen to hear Elvis' July 4th 1976 Bicentennial performance, as well as RCA's Joan Deary's initial choice for the 1980 box-set of Duluth, October 16, 1976

As FTD releases two more 1976 soundboards, will Elvis be back on form and are there any surprises in store..

The new product respects the previous one present Elvis moving toward the third and fourth tour of the year. Carrying the weight of his problems but still unbelievable concentrate in his music as a final product to delivery to his fans... through the tape, and maybe thanks to its limitation is possible to feel the incredible enthusiasm of the crowd ... For sure Elvis is still a legend.
In the Bloomington show, Although Elvis was not looking good and In spite, the lack of renewal, in the repertoire are still included some strong numbers to make the concerts of a very good quality. Surprisingly in some of the more demanding artistically songs, Elvis builds his show, He is still able to delivery in the right way, songs like You Gave a Mountain, America the Beautiful, Burning Love, Polk Salad Annie and last single Hurt. Without a doubt, this is the focus of the show and the audience appreciated that, making the concert atmosphere still incredible experience....
Moving to Providence we are instead in the middle of the fourth 1976 tour , the show is shorter respect to the previous one ( Elvis performed even an afternoon show on the same day), also the repertoire is very basic, some of the rockers like Burning Love and Polk Salad Annie have been dropped but the show remains surprisingly well performed in all the songs...and the participation of the public is incredible..Elvis is still a legend!!
The sound is very good for an ambient recordings, considering that this kind of recording is coming from a big hall no the intimate Las Vegas showroom... We have on our hands the original mono tapes of extremely good quality enabling us to carry out a simple re-mastering work, concentrating on the reduction of noise trying to achieve a more clear sound balancing the channel and put at the right speed the tape. The result a pretty dynamic tapes with a great definition of the background music and for sure you can live the atmosphere of a Elvis' concert in the seventy. - EIN says be sure to get AUDIO SAMPLES before purchasing.

'The King Strikes Back' 10CD Import set: The Audionics label has announced a new, comprehensive 10CD project, dedicated to Elvis’ legendary Las Vegas Summer ’74 season. It is called 'THE KING STRIKES BACK!' and for the first time ever, all rehearsal and live soundboard recordings are presented in best possible sound quality and in one box!
These recordings were released through the years by various bootleg labels and by the official collectors FTD label, too. Nevertheless, many of these original releases are hard to find nowadays, including several already deleted FTD CDs!
For some of these recordings we have used audio tapes (master cassettes) as a source, rather than existing CD releases. We have spent dozens of hours in studio, to restore and enhance them. As usual, every recording was treated individually and restored from scratch, using today's advanced technology to achieve the best possible sound quality for your optimal listening pleasure.
Each disc is placed in individually designed cardboard sleeve and there is a 16-page booklet, full of high quality August / September 1974 photos (including several rare ones) and reproductions of fan reviews, published in the hard-to-find Rex Martin “Elvis News Service Weekly” magazine, back in 1974. These reviews are special, because they were published shortly after the concerts and those memories are immediate and fresh.

This is the first-ever Audionics comprehensive box. It’s a special set which deserves a place in any serious Elvis collection!
